Walt Disney in World War II

During World War II ( 1942- 1945) Walt Disney was involved in propaganda films and promotion for the United States. Walt Disney were helping persuade people to support the United States in the World War. 90% of Disney's employers were involved in this propaganda advertisement. Under the United States command Disney produced anti -German and anti - Japanese commercials. Walt Disney portrayed the German and Japanese as selfish people without morals.

These two pictures are classic examples of what Walt Disney produced during World War II they were making the German and the Japanese look like horrible soulless people and the United States were the ones to support.
During the World War II the Navy also requested Walt Disney's help with propaganda. They Navy's first request was for Walt Disney to produce 900,000 feet of film to be ready within three months. This came as a major shock to the Walt Disney produced because normally they only produce 30,000 feet of film a year. This request was in aid of helping the sailors learn navigation tactics. Walt Disney attempted to take on the challenge of producing this amount of feet.
